    Da selecção dos Botero que por aqui já passaram, este é, sem dúvida, o mais... atrevido. Estava a tentar 'perceber' a expressão extasiada do pintor, sem a conseguir interpretar. Está alucinado com 'tanta mulher' que tem pela frente, está estupefacto com o que só ele vê e nós não (nem sei se conseguimos adivinhar), está lívido de gozo antecipado pelo que poderá vir a acontecer, ou ainda não refeito do que já aconteceu? Duvidosos são tantos pincéis e restos de bisnagas espalhados pelo chão. Resultados de refrega recente ou de batalhas anteriores? Só enigmas. Que passam ao lado desta Manuela, segura de si, sem adiposidades extra, avantajada mas com tudo no sítio.

    E julgava-me eu observador, Caro Pedro. Devo confessar que tantos pincéis e restos de bisnagas espalhadas, também me levaram a imaginar refregas recentes, não batalhas anteriores. Depois, e por fim, achei apenas tratar-se de falta de talento do suposto artista, ou atrapalhação justificada pelo porte da Manuela. É que ela está despida e não só de pudor, mas ele apresenta-se algo composto. E uma Manuela deste calibre, se refregas e batalhas tivessem ocorrido, não o deixariam tão... vá lá, digamos, ataviado. E verdade seja dita, a senhora apesar de ser ligeiramente arredondada, tem, realmente, tudo no sítio.
    É sempre um prazer lê-lo por aqui. Um abraço.
